About the Artist

Hello! I'm Forest, an artist and illustrator inspired by natural history, folklore, and modern self-expression. As the oldest of seven siblings, I grew up in a lively homeschool household where curiosity was always encouraged. Reading and writing became lifelong passions, shaping the way I see the world and the stories I tell through my artwork.

Art has always been close to home. My father is an artist and co-owner of Dark Cycle Clothing, and growing up doing art with him at the kitchen table and going to art fairs with my family taught me to see art as both a form of expression and a meaningful craft. Today, I work primarily in pen and ink, creating illustrations inspired by birds, bones, botanicals, and whatever else catches my eye. I have been doing professional illustration work and commissions for a little over a year now and I’m hoping to become a tattoo apprentice within the next year.

As a queer artist, I value creating work that celebrates authenticity, and the many ways people connect with the world and each other. Whether that’s through illustrating wildlife, designing future tattoos, or creating handmade items, my goal is to invite others to slow down and find beauty in the details.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the woods. I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
